COURTLAND - Pauline "Polly" Flygare, 67, of Courtland, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Southview Living Center in Gibbon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday, January 30, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 7:30- 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Polly is survived by her husband, Lynn Flygare of Courtland; daughters and son-in-law, Amy Flygare of Rochester, Susan and John Jordahl of St. Cloud; granddaughter, Gracelynn Jordahl; mother, Agnes Guggisberg of Gibbon; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Jack Rossow of Gibbon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Lynn Guggisberg, Kenneth Guggisberg all of Gibbon, Kevin and Gail Guggisberg of New Ulm, William and Mary Guggisberg of Freeborn, Jon Guggisberg and his special friend, Evelyn Cloud both of Jacksonville, Florida; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Melba and Gary Graupman of Nicollet; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marc and Kris Flygare of North Mankato, Duane and Carol Flygare of Winthrop; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alex Guggisberg; son, Charles "Chuck" Flygare; and a brother, Chris Guggisberg.
Pauline Marie Guggisberg was born on August 29, 1946 in New Ulm to Alex and Agnes (Hanslick) Guggisberg. On October 16, 1965 she was united in marriage to Lynn Flygare at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. She worked at Herberger's in New Ulm for thirty-three years and attained a position of assistant manager. She enjoyed volunteering, her family and being a grandmother, serving as a Eucharistic Minister at church, working at the front desk at Oak Hills Living Center, card making, and traveling. Polly was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, and the Christian Mothers Society.
