NEW ULM - Eldor Seibel, 90, of New Ulm, died Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, January 24, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Donald Sutton officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Eldor is survived by his wife, Louella "Lou" Seibel of New Ulm; daughters and sons-in-law, Dee and Mike Mueller of Cambridge, Judy and Keith Hartman of Glenwood, Bonnie and Howard Callahan of Madisonville, Louisiana; daughter-in-law, Jean Marie Seibel of North Mankato; grandchildren, Jerod (Jeana) Anderson, Jason Anderson, Jamie Anderson, Shannon Callahan, Michael Callahan, Barbara Seibel; great-grandchildren, Johannes, Logan, Chandler, Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Fran Seibel of Florida; nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Seibel; grandson, Eric Seibel; sisters, Marion Schroeder, Vernice Grim; and a brother, Clarence Seibel.
Eldor John Seibel was born on March 12, 1923 in Courtland Township, Nicollet County to Peter and Wilhelmina (Epke) Seibel. On August 4, 1947 he was united in marriage to Louella Boyum in Madelia. They farmed in Courtland Township until the late 1980s. Eldor was one of the first in the area to have a custom drying and spraying business for farmers. He and Lou enjoyed going south in the winter in their travel trailer. Eldor was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
