The Journal

Eric John Voigt was born on October 17, 1974 and died on January 6, 2014 at the age of 39.

Born in New Prague, Minn., Eric lived in Montgomery, New Ulm, and Cottage Grove before becoming an Austin, Texas resident at the age of 11. Eric moved to Denver after graduating from college, in his early 20s. He recently called Pflugerville, TX home, but his heart was always in Denver with the snow-capped mountains.

The consummate optimist, Eric always found a way to look at the bright side of life and rarely complained. Eric's ambitions included becoming the best art director ever, a gourmet specialty cook and a radio broadcaster. He pursued his life's passion in art by acquiring his dream job with The Integer Group, Denver, CO, one of the premier ad agencies in the country. In addition to a Bachelor's degree in Advertising, he also had an Associate's degree in English Communications and was happy to generously use his time, talent and treasure for his church.
