NEW ULM - Alice Fischer, 67, of New Ulm, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at her home in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 20 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Christine (Joey) Todd of West Point, Iowa; sons, Michael (Donna) Fischer of Mapleton and Timothy Fischer of New Ulm; grandchildren, Ashley Douglas, Taylor Fischer, Ryley Fischer, Alician Todd, Kiera Fischer; sister, Sandy Suess of rural New Ulm; niece, Rebecca (Jeremy) Pieper; nephews, Robert (Leah) Suess, Scott Suess, Mark (Rachel) Suess, and Tom Suess.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Fischer on May 4, 1999; parents; grandparents; and brother-in-law, David E. Suess.
Alice Marie Meyer was born on Sept. 14, 1946 in New Ulm to Fred and Lorraine (Heinen) Meyer. She graduated from Cathedral High School with the class of 1964. On Sept. 18, 1965, Alice was united in marriage to Ronald Fischer at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. After their marriage, they lived on the family farm until 2007. Alice helped Ronald farm, worked at various places in New Ulm, and retired from Windings after over ten years of service. Alice enjoyed fishing, sewing, knitting, crocheting, crafting, and watching go kart races and Indy car races. She loved animals and gardening, especially hostas. Alice had a green thumb and always enjoyed growing new things. Alice was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the Catholic Order of Foresters. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Family Wishes.
