WINTHROP - A new assisted living facility is scheduled to open in early January in Winthrop.
The Lodge of Winthrop will be located in southwest Winthrop. It will offer apartments for individuals who are age 55 and older.
The campus will consist of up to 16 assisted living apartments. The apartments will be attached to the current location of the Good Samaritan Home, which currently offers skilled and rehabilitation care.
The assisted living apartments offer maintenance-free lifestyle that combines the advantages of a private home with a wide range of services and amenities.
