To the editor:
Now we have the Affordable Health Care Act, better known as Obamacare. After several years to prepare and the reported spending of several hundred million dollars to activate, we find that the proposed website is dysfunctional.
This is not a Democratic problem. It is not a Republican problem. It is an Obama Administration problem. I am not well versed in creating such sites, but it doesn't take a lot of gray matter to know that somebody somewhere screwed up big time
This program should have been prepared to hit the ground running. Apparently, like many of Obama's promises in 2008 and since, somebody forgot to put the wheels on.
This oft repeated promise, "if you like your plan you can keep it," is almost too ludicrous to ever mention. Five percent, 16 million, including middle aged people, single persons, etc., now have to carry and pay big bucks for maternity coverage, abortions, birth control, and who knows what else.
Evidently the majority of both houses of Congress followed like sheep or the blind leading the blind when this bill was passed. Perhaps they all thought, like Nancy Pelosi said "Let's pass this bill and then see what's in it."
The people are beginning to find out, Nancy.
