Sleepy Eye man seriously injured in crash

A two-vehicle collision occurred at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 4 and Brown County Road 22.

According to the State Patrol, the accident involved a 2009 Buick LaCrosse driven by Librado Vazquez, 45, of Gaylord, and a 2011 Ford Super Duty driven by Patrick J. Goblirsch, 50, of Sleepy Eye.

Vazquez was westbound on Highway 22, and Goblirsch was southbound on Highway 4 when the vehicles collided. Goblirsch's truck rolled into the ditch.

Goblirsch, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injury and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Vazquez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

No alcohol was involved in the accident, the Patrol reported.
