MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Janel McCarville scored a season-high 22 points and the short-handed Minnesota Lynx beat the Seattle Storm 74-69 Sunday night.

Maya Moore added 14 points for the Lynx (12-5), who have won three of four. Devereaux Peters had 12 points and Lindsay Whalen scored 10. Seimone Augustus, Minnesota's second leading scorer at 17.2 points per game, missed the game due to bursitis in her left knee.

Sue Bird scored 21 points to lead Seattle (7-11) and Jenna O'Hea added 14.

Minnesota led by nine early in the fourth quarter before Seattle pulled within one.

Whalen made a jumper with 1:14 to go, but Angel Robinson countered down low with 51.9 seconds left to make it 69-68.

After Whalen missed a jumper with 36.9 seconds to play, Robinson was all alone underneath but missed a layup with 20.9 seconds left.

However, Whalen and Moore combined to make five free throws in the final 15.3 seconds to help the Lynx get the win.

The teams split their home-and-home series, with the Storm winning 81-71 at Seattle on Friday.
