PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUND-UP: Guetter leads Wabasso in nonconference match

Wabasso 3, Westbrook-Walnut Grove 1

WESTBROOK - Wabasso defeated Westbrook-Walnut Grove in four sets (18-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21) in a nonconference match on Monday night.

Senior Chelsey Guetter led the Rabbits (12-3-3, 5-1 Tomahawk Conference) in kills with 23. She also tallied nine blocks, one service ace and 21 digs on the night.

Morgan Frank notched 11 kills for the Rabbits while Callie Rohlik had seven.

Jamie Goblirsch tied Guetter's team-high dig total with 21.

Larissa Rohlik led the team in set assist with 29, while Jocelyn Rothmeier had 16.

Wabasso returns to conference action on Tuesday, when it hosts Cedar Mountain/Comfrey at 7 p.m.

Red Rock Central 3,

C. Mountain/Comfrey 1

LAMBERTON - Red Rock Central defeated Cedar Mountain/Comfrey in four sets (21-25, 25-12, 25-5, 25-19) in a nonconference match on Monday night.

Karlianna Kelly led the Cougars (1-12, 1-4 Tomahawk Conference) in kills on the night with eight while adding three blocks as well. Victoria Hardwick added six kills to the offensive total.

Hardwick and Mary Mace both finished the night a perfect 12-for-12 in serving. Mace tallied two service aces while Hardwick had one.

Natalie Hoffbeck led the Cougars in set assists with 23. Andrea Ochs led in digs with 20, while Brianna Lund was not far behind with 16.

Stats were not reported for Red Rock Central (9-5, 5-0 Red Rock Conference).

CM/C will play at Wabasso at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, while Red Rock Central hosts Murray County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mankato Loyola 3, Sleepy Eye 2

MANKATO - Mankato Loyola defeated Sleepy Eye in five sets (23-25, 25-10, 25-18, 18-25, 15-8) in a nonconference match on Monday night.

Claire Krumbach led the Indians (3-9, 1-4 Tomahawk Conference) in kills with 14 while also compiling four digs and three blocks.

Josie Schieffert had eight kills with four blocks, while Justine Gonzalez had 19 set assists. Jamie Wells also contributed six kills.

Sleepy Eye will return to conference action when it hosts New Ulm Cathedral on Tuesday for its "Dig Pink" night.
