MOUNTAIN LAKE - First-year FFA members and chapter officers from around the area gathered at the Region VI FFA Greenhand Day and Chapter Officer Workshop on Wednesday, September 25 at Mountain Lake, Minnesota. The main purpose of the workshop was to educate first year members, known as Greenhands, about the opportunities in the FFA.

The day camp was conducted by the Region VI Officer Team and this year's theme was "Light the Fuse". The Minnesota State FFA Reporter, Brandon Roiger of the Sleepy Eye FFA Chapter, was the keynote speaker. Roiger, with the help of State President Mallory Pagel, also conducted the Chapter Officer Workshop, where Chapter Officers participated in activities stressing the importance of working together, good communication, and promoting FFA.

Tiffany Ludewig, of the Sleepy Eye FFA Chapter, was one of the Region VI Officers who were conducting the Greenhand Day Event. She is the Region VI Sentinel for 2013-14.
