NEW ULM - The District 88 Board of Education on Thursday is expected to approve a preliminary levy for taxes payable in 2014.
The board is expected to approve the maximum levy of approximately $6.2 million - as is its usual practice. The amount is generally adjusted at a later date.
In addition, the board is expected to approve the annual report on curriculum and instruction. The document details goals, subject curriculum reviews and schedules for them, teaching staff statistics and also provides a summary of last year's student standardized test scores.
The board meets at 7 p.m. in the District Administrative Center.
