SLEEPY EYE - Adeline Anne Witt, age 89, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on September 18, 2013, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 8 pm and will continue on Monday from 7:30 until 10 am at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 4pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Service will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:30

Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Sleepy Eye.

Adeline Anne Weiss was born on May 24, 1924 in Stark Township the daughter of Conrad & Bertha (Sellner) Weiss. She attended school in Iberia in her younger years and later at St. Mary's. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Witt on October 4th, 1943 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye. Adeline worked at Pietrus Produce for a number of years and as a waitress at the Orchid Inn for 30+ years retiring at the age of 80. She also worked at the Sleepy Eye Care Center and the Sleepy Eye Hospital. Adeline loved and enjoyed people, working as a waitress at the Orchid, her grandchildren, watching TV, volunteer work in her later years, especially helping with funeral luncheons at St. Mary's. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, CCW and VFW Auxiliary Post #800.

She is survived by her children, Beverly (Ed) Reynolds of Naples, FL, Ronald Witt of Richfield, Gregory (Mona) Witt of New Ulm, grandchildren, Megan (Nate) Meier of New Ulm, Alisha (Justin) Hayes of Savage, Sarah (Jeremy) of Prior Lake, Kevin and Brent Witt of Richfield, great-grandchildren, Halle and Haden Meier of New Ulm and Savannah of Prior Lake, sister, Olivia Hoffmann of Sauk Village, IL and daughter-in-law Cathy and her family, husband Alan and daughter Ashley all of New Ulm. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth in 1986, son Kevin in 1985 and two brothers.
