Gerald Woodley, Co-Chair with the Brown County Humane Society, posed with his dog RINO, which was the top earning dog for the annual Dog Walk event held Saturday by the Society. RINO generated $1,777 from sponsors.

The fundraiser revolved around each of the walkers getting "sponsors" to donate to the Society on behalf of their dog. The event itself also fundraised by offering face painting, animal photography and selling children's books by local author Jill Kalz. The books were donated by both Kalz and her Mankato-based publisher Capstone Press. Thrivent Financial covered the costs of setting up the event.

The event drew 30 to 35 walkers. It raised $4,093 for the Society, with $3,875 coming from sponsors donating on behalf of the dogs. The top dog earner was Society Co-Chair Gerald Woodley's dog RINO, who raised $1,777.
