LE SUEUR - For the fourth time this season the Searles Bullheads 35 and over baseball team took the lead in its last at bats and then went on to win its eighth game in a row.

On Saturday, in a game against the LeSueur Legends, The Bullheads scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th to end up winning 9-5. With one out and runners on first and second, Brad Mathiowetz singled for his second hit of the game and got credit for the game-winning hit.

A single by Brian Sieve plus two consecutive walks plated two more runs. The fourth run scored on a sacrifice fly by John Giefer.

Searles tied the score at 2-2 in the top of the third on a lead-off hit by Todd Hulke, a walk, and a two-out two RBI double by Matt Kuster. Doug Ekstrom got his second single of the game in the fourth to drive in run number three.

The other two Bullhead runs scored in the 6th on another two-out clutch single by Giefer, to give him three RBIs for the game. The Bullheads had 10 hits for the game compared to nine for LeSueur.

Meanwhile, the Legends scored two runs in both the second and third innings and then tied the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth. Brant Drill got credit for the win by pitching innings four through six. Kevin Hulke pitched the first two innings, Craig Schmitz the third, and Scott Rummel the seventh.
