Hutchinson batted through the order in the top of the second inning to score six more runs on five hits. It used five hits and a double steal of second and third bases to keep the inning going.

Cooper Forbrook scored New Ulm's second run in the bottom of the third inning on a fielder's choice.

Fischer got on base in the bottom of the fifth inning when he was hit by a pitch. Forbrook walked, and Michael Skillings was hit by a pitch. E.J. Berdan reached base on an error by the Hutchinson shortstop which led to Fischer scoring on that play.

Spencer Landsteiner came to the plate with the bases loaded. He hit the ball back to the pitcher who got the force out at home and the throw to first base got the second out of the inning.

Jackson Reinarts hit a ground ball to the shortstop who threw to first base for the game's final out.

Ostlund pitched a complete game for the win for Hutchinson. Alex Guggisberg, Landsteiner and Reinarts all pitched for New Ulm.
