The Journal

MANKATO - The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office identified human remains found earlier this month as 38-year-old Maverick H. Arrowood.

On June 6, 2013, the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Department received a report of possible human remains in a rural area of South Bend Township. Deputies found partial skeletal remains in a heavily-wooded area, according to a news release.

Blue Earth County investigators received information of a "homeless man" who had been living in the area for several years and had not been seen for some time. Investigators obtained dental records for the man after the scene was processed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office.

Records were forwarded to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office. Attempts to contact family members have been unsuccessful, according to the news release.

Cause and manner of the man's death remain undetermined. Anyone with any information about it is asked to call the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Investigator at 507-387-5601.
