New Ulm Medical Center Birth Center nurses earn certifications

NEW?ULM - Three registered nurses at the New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) Birth Center recently became certified in Maternal Newborn Nursing.

Jane Carlson, Holly Matter and Mandy Wagner completed a course and examination that included competencies such as assessing the physical status of mother and baby, and the psychological and sociocultural status of the family; developing an individualized plan for new moms and their families; and incorporating current standards of practice into care of a new mom, baby and family.

Other registered nurses at the NUMC Birth Center who previously achieved certifications are Jane Carlson (lactation counselor), Tami Caudill (lactation consultant), Kitty Rolloff (lactation consultant and inpatient obstetric nursing) and Marti Uhde (inpatient obstetric nursing).
