Hazel A. Bohn

MORGAN - Hazel A. Bohn, 87, of Morgan died Friday, June 7, 2013 at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morgan with burial to follow in the Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 10, 2013, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Morgan and will continue on Tuesday at the church for one hour prior to services.

Hazel Alta Bohn, the daughter of Louis and Ida (Beilke) Forbrook, was born August 16, 1925 in Morgan. She grew up in Morgan and received her formal education in Morgan Public School.

On December 3, 1951, Hazel married Donald C. Bohn and they continued to live in Morgan. In addition to raising their family, Hazel was employed as a bookkeeper at the Morgan Creamery, Morgan Industries, and Morgan Grain and Feed. She retired in 1991.

Hazel was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morgan. She enjoyed following all sports activities and, in her spare time, doing crossword puzzles. Hazel enjoyed attending all of her children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's programs, sporting events and extra-curricular activities.

She is survived by her children Jan (Russ) Steffensmeier of Morgan, Linda (Arnie) Penning of Morgan, Bill (Connie) Bohn of Redwood Falls, and Don Bohn of Morgan; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers Ellsworth (Darlene) Forbrook of Rochester, and Louis (Brenda) Forbrook of Sleepy Eye; and sisters-in-law Evelyn Forbrook of Willmar, LaVonne Forbrook of Franklin, and Florence Forbrook of Morgan.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Bohn; son-in-law Bruce Welter; daughter-in-law Julie Bohn; brothers Clinton, Willmar, Elmer, and William Forbrook; brother-in-law Jerald Bohn, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Marvin and Dorothy Wegner and sister-in-law Judy Forbrook.
