Madelia-Truman trounces JWP

MADELIA - Madelia-Truman romped over the winless Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs in softball Wednesday, rapping out 21 hits in a 19-1 non-conference game.

Savannah Stevens was 4-for-4 for Madelia, now 5-10, with a two run homer. Brianna Stevensen was 3-for-3 with a double and six RBI, Melody Colon was 3-for-4 with a trip, and Abigail Eldridge was 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored.

Taylor Thomas was the winning pitcher in the ive-inning game, going the distance with one run, two hits, a walk and two strikeouts.

Pitching for JWP, now 0-13, was Kaley Anderson, who also went the distance, giving up 19 runs, 21 hits, no walks and one strikeout.

Madelia-Truman travels to Alden-Conger today.
