19A candidate forum tonight in St. Peter

ST. PETER - The candidates in the Minnesota House District 19A special election will face each other in their first debate today in St. Peter.

The candidate forum is open to the public and starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Treaty Site History Center at 1851 N. Minnesota Ave. in St. Peter. The topics will be based on questions submitted by the public prior to the event.

Candidates are Clark Johnson, DFL; Allen Quist, Republican; and Tim Gieseke, Independence Party.

The general election is Tuesday, Feb. 12. The winner will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Terry Morrow, a Democrat, who took a job in Chicago.
