PREP BOYS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Sibley East boys get past Norwood Young America

Sibley East 60, NYA 56

ARLINGTON - Sibley East defeated Norwood Young America in Minnesota River Conference boys basketball Tuesday.

Tyler Bates led the Wolverines with 18 points and Max Grabow scored 15 points. Sam Harrison finished with 12 points and Brody Rodning scored 11 points.

Trevor Groschen led NYA with 23 points.

Sibley East is at Mayer Lutheran on Friday.

BLHS 57, MVL 45

HECTOR - Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart defeated Minnesota Valley Lutheran in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball action Tuesday.

Kyle Kubesh led the Mustangs with 16 points, Mason Clark had 14 points and Tate Lange finished with 12 points.

Chad Lease finished the game with 10 points for the Chargers.

BLHS hosts Cedar Mountain/Comfrey Friday and MVL is at Springfield on Friday.

RRC 65, Sleepy Eye 48

LAMBERTON - Red Rock Central's Jeff Decock scored 24 points and had seven assists as the Falcons defeated Sleepy Eye in nonconference boys basketball Tuesday.

Henry Rogotzke finished with 18 points and 18 rebounds for the Falcons.

For Sleepy Eye, John Mangen led the way with 10 points and Saul Ibarra scored nine points.

RRC (6-6) hosts Murray County Central on Thursday and Sleepy Eye (4-9) is at Wabasso Friday.

CM/C 67, GFW 38

MORGAN - Cedar?Mountain/Comfrey defeated Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball Tuesday.

Brady Kerkhoff led the Cougars with 18 points and Sam Pendleton finished with 13 points. Zach Kerkhoff finished with 10 points for the Cougars (10-2), who are at BLHS on Friday.

GFW (5-9) hosts New Ulm Cathedral Friday.

St. Mary's 98,

Springfield 94

SPRINGFIELD - Sleepy Eye St. Mary's edged Springfield Tuesday night in a Tomahawk Conference game.

Sean Mathiowitz scored 32 points, Kansas Adams scored 26 and Jordan Anderson scored 25 points for the Knights.

Christopher Kretsch and Cole Milbrath each scored 25 points, Tyler Vogel scored 20 points and Issac Kirschstein scored 15 points for the Tigers.

Springfield (10-5, 7-3) hosts Minnesota Valley Lutheran Friday night.

St. Mary's (11-3, 8-2) hosts Sleepy Eye on Tuesday.
