To the editor:
An Open Letter to New Ulm area businesses and residents.
Please contact Governor Dayton, MnDOT Commissioner Zeilc, MnDOT District Engineers, and your state legislators about the importance of Highway 14. There is much at stake in the months ahead, and your voice is needed to demonstrate to these leaders that completing the four lane expansion must be a state priority. MnDOT will be issuing a draft of its 20-year State Highway Investment Plan in March and finalize the document in May. This document guides project funding for the next two decades. If left out of the plan. Highway 14 progress is stalled, safety is jeopardized, and economic development is hampered!
Our state leaders need to hear from you on why completing Highway 14 is important. You are welcome to come to my office if you would like to see a possible draft letter you can use and embellish with you own reasons for writing. The most important thing we can do demonstrate strong public support for the four lane expansion of Highway 14. Decisions are being made now! Please, write or call today! Our leaders NEED to hear your voice!! The contact information for these individuals is below:
