To the editor:
I felt compelled to write about something that happened here last Friday. My husband and I were getting ready to go out to dinner. I happened to reach into my pocket, and the $100 that had been there earlier in the afternoon wasn't there anymore.
My heart sinks. No one likes to lose money, and for us, times are very tough financially. Of course I went through the house, upturned couch cushions, and nothing. Took the same path out to our car, still nothing. So we drove to Cash Wise, where I'd been earlier in the day, and I said to the lady behind the counter, "I know this is a shot in the dark, but did anyone turn in some money earlier? I've lost $100..." She said, "Well, when I came in, they did say someone had turned in $100 they'd found."
So, whether it was a Cash Wise customer or employee that did the right thing and turned the money in, I thank you a hundred times over!
