Eichten leads Wabasso boys over Sleepy Eye

WABASSO - Wabasso defeated Sleepy Eye in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball game on Thursday.

Neil Eichten led all scorers with 21 points for Wabasso, while Seth Guetter added 14.

For the Indians, Brandon Polesky and Jake Trebesch scored 19 and 11 points, respectively.

Wabasso (6-6, 4-2) hosts Red Rock Central on Saturday, while Sleepy Eye (4-4, 2-3) travels to take on Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop tonight.

GFW 58, BOLD 51

WINTHROP - Brett Rickheim recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds as Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop defeated BOLD in a non-conference boys basketball game on Thursday.

Seth Schuette added 13 points to go along with Rickheim's double-double.

GFW (4-6, 2-3) plays Sleepy Eye at home tonight.

St. Mary's 72,

Cathedral 47

SLEEPY EYE - Sleepy Eye St. Mary's defeated New Ulm Cathedral in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball Thursday night.

No stats were available from the game.

St. Mary's (7-3) hosts Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Tuesday. Cathedral (1-8) is at Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Monday.

Springfield 75, BLHS 61

HECTOR - Cole Milbrath and Isaac Kirschstein led Springfield with 15 points each as the Tigers defeated Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball Thursday.

Christopher Kretsch scored 14 points and Cooper Scheffler scored 13 for the Tigers.

Kyle Kubesh scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Mustangs and Mason Clark had 13 points. Josh Swanson scored 10 for BLHS.

Springfield (9-3) is at Redwood Valley on Monday and BLHS (5-3) hosts Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City on Monday.
