Council to consider permits for The Grand, Nehls Park water tower

NEW ULM - The New Ulm City Council's annual organizational meeting will start today at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

The Council will start with the official appointment of the Mayor and the 2013 City Council.

The Council will consider approving a conditional use permit to Grand New Ulm, LLC, Chair Richard Kimmel, to locate an apartment unit and two sleeping rooms at the Grand Center of the Arts at 210 N. Minnesota St.

The Council will also consider approving a Conditional Use Permit request by City Manager Brian Gramentz on behalf of the New Ulm Public Utilities for constructing a 250,000-gallon water tower at Nehls Park.

Finally, the Council will consider approving a Conditional Use Permit for by Josh Luneburg for New Ulm Steel and Recycle to place at 8-foot fence at 218 19th South Street.
