Isbell receives award from Sister Cities Commission

NEW ULM - Rick Isbell was honored by the Sister Cities Commission on Monday with the 2012 Recognition Award at the Kegel Klub.

He received the award in recognition of his decades of volunteer work for the Hans Joohs Cultural Exchange Program. His most notable contribution was driving the incoming German exchangees to any location or event they wanted to experience at his own expense. He has driven exchangees as far as the Black Hills and Chicago. He has also driven the exchangees to numerous concerts, sporting events and other activities throughout the state.

In addition, Isbell was honored for his dedication and volunteer efforts throughout the community and its sports programs.
