MARSHALL - The New Ulm gymnastics team placed second at the eight-team Marshall Invitational on Saturday.
The Eagles earned a team score of 135.975, the team's highest score this season.
Michaela Otterstatter led the Eagles by placing second in the all-around with a score of 34.975. Otterstatter was also second in the vault (9.05) and placed third in both the beam (9.05) and floor (9.025) events.
New Ulm's Kim Berg earned a second-place finish on the bars with a score of 8.35.
Other notable scores for the Eagles in the competition included Allison Rosenhamer on the beam (8.775) and vault (8.875), Michaela Howk on the beam (8.7) and Emily Gulden in the all-around (33.275).
New Ulm will compete in its second South Central Conference match-up of the season on Friday when it travels to take on St. James.
