PREP BOYS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Eagles soundly sink Sting

GLENCOE - The New Ulm boys' basketball team ended its Glencoe-Silver Lake Holiday Tournament campaign in style Saturday with a comfortable win against Spectrum.

Jackson Yackley led the Eagles with 12 points, while Tyler Dittrich and Peder Johnson added 11 points apiece. Chris Mulder had five steals for New Ulm.

New Ulm (3-8) will travel to play at Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

NRHEG 65, MVL 47

MANKATO - Trevor Tracy's 28 points helped New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva defeat Minnesota Valley Lutheran in the seventh-place game at the Bethany Lutheran Tournament on Saturday.

Justin Bruns led the Chargers with 17 points and Richard Jensen added 11 points.

MVL will play at Sleepy Eye St. Mary's on Friday.
