PREP BOYS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Eagles fall in Glencoe tourney

GLENCOE - Jackson Yackley scored a team-high 17 points for the New Ulm boys' basketball team in a loss against Holy Family on Friday at the Glencoe-Silver Lake Holiday Tournament.

Tyler Dittrich added 11 points for the Eagles.

New Ulm will continue tournament play today.

Loyola 69, MVL 59

MANKATO - Minnesota Valley Lutheran fell to Mankato Loyola in the consolation semifinals of the Bethany Lutheran Tournament on Friday.

Chad Lease led the Chargers with 14 points and Nick Dewanz added 13 points.

MVL will play against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva today at 6 p.m. for seventh place.

D-B 84, CMC 72

MORGAN -?Michael Lee's 30-point effort helped Dawson-Boyd upset host Cedar/Mountain Comfrey in the championship game of the Cougar Holiday Shootout on Friday.

Nathan Huot added 26 points for the Blackjacks.

Zach Kerkhoff led CM/C with 28 points, with Sam Pendleton adding 21 points.

The Cougars will next play on Jan. 4 at Sleepy Eye.
