SPRINGFIELD - Lawrence Middleton, 97, of Springfield, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation will continue 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Springfield.
Services will be on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Springfield, with burial at the Springfield City Cemetery.
Lawrence Bruce Middleton was born Nov. 7, 1915 near Golden Gate (Frog Hollow), north of Sleepy Eye in Home Township, to Bruce and Martha (Essig) Middleton.
He is survived by son Allen Middleton of Springfield; daughter Vivian Dittbenner of Sleepy Eye; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and brother Dwayne Middleton.
