NEW?ULM - An Extreme Snowmobile Hillclimb will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, in the New Ulm area. The event is organized by the Mid America Snow and Terrain Expert Racers (MASTERS) Professional Snowmobile Sanction Circuit. The hill will be built and developed by the River Valley Dutchmen Snowmobile Club. This snowmobile hillclimb will be the first of at least three hillclimbs that the MASTERS will have in the winter of 2013.
The New Ulm hillclimb will also be the first World Championship Snowmobile Hillclimb qualifying event for the season.
The MASTERS Circuit is the Midwest Snowmobile Hillclimb Circuit for those that want to qualify for the World Championships held in Jackson, Wyo., March 21-24, 2013.
The Pro Stock King of the Hill and the Pro Mod King of the Hill at the River Valley Dutchmen Extreme Snowmobile Hillclimb will automatically qualify for the World Championships in Jackson, Wyo. In addition to qualifying for the World Championships the Pro Stock King of the Hill will also receive $500 from Miller-Sellner. The Pro Mod King of the Hill will also receive $500 from Vetter Sales and Service.
This event also includes a class for stock and modified 120 cc sleds as well as a class for amateurs. The Pro Drivers compete on a course of gates that the drivers must go around. The 120 cc and amateur class drivers will go straight up the hill.
The MASTERS will bring up to 40 professional snowmobile hillclimbers to the New Ulm area. Each hillclimber brings a crew with them, and brings their families
All drivers are required to pre-register by Jan. 12.
