Students in Matt Dick's fifth-grade class at Washington Elementary School in New Ulm raised money and donated items for the Brown County Humane Society instead of doing a gift exchange this year. Gerald Woodley of the BCHS accepted the $60 in cash and about $80 worth of treats and toys Friday at the school.
