To the editor:
I think the National Rifle Association's proposal to provide armed guards in our nation's schools is a good idea. With something like 100,000 school districts in the United States and perhaps three buildings per school, that adds up to several hundred thousand jobs.
What a jobs program!
Of course such a program has to be paid for. A tax on firearms sales would be an appropriate source of revenue, in my opinion.
