Rabbits stun Sleepy Eye St.?Mary’s, BLHS wins

Wabasso 69, SESM 67

WABASSO - Neil Eichten scored 24 points and Tanner Bock added 21 points and 16 rebounds to lead Wabasso over Sleepy Eye St. Mary's Monday night in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball.

Sean Mathiowetz led the Knights with 25 points and Kansas Adams scored 16 points.

Wabasso (3-3, 2-1) hosts a holiday tournament Thursday and Friday nights. Wabasso plays Red Rock Central in the first round. SESM (4-2, 2-1) travels to Truman to play Truman-Martin Luther Jan. 3.

BLHS 70, GFW 50

FAIRFAX - Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart defeated Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Monday in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball action.

Kyle Kubesh led the Mustangs with 25 points and Mason Clark had 14 points. Jack Bussler led GFW with 10 points.

GFW is at Belle Plaine on Friday.

Springfield 72, Fulda 62

SPRINGFIELD-Cole Milbrath, Isaac Kirschstein and Tyler Vogel led Springfield over the Fulda Raiders Monday night in non-conference boys basketball action.

Milbrath scored 23 points with nine rebounds, Kirschstein added 15 points with three rebounds and Vogel chipped in 14 points with nine rebounds for the Tigers.

The Raiders made 11 3-pointers to help them stay close in the game.

Springfield (4-2, 1-2) hosts New Ulm Cathedral tonight in a Tomahawk Conference show-down.

St. Clair 62, NUC 52

ST. CLAIR - St. Clair defeated New Ulm Cathedral Monday night in non-conference boys basketball action.

Jeff Osborne led the Greyhounds with 16 points, five rebounds and five steals. Jake Stadick added 11 points.

Ryan Kruse led St. Clair with 21 points.

NUC (1-4) travels to Springfield (4-2) to play the Tigers Thursday night in a Tomahawk Conference game.
