Veronica “Bonnie” Wiedl

NEW?ULM Veronica "Bonnie" Wiedl, 93, of New Ulm, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Oak Hills living Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with Father Bernard Steiner celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 7 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home ,NORTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm. There will be a parish rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Those that will cherish her memory are, Mary Malecha of Pequot Lakes, Patricia (Bruce) Krambeer of New Ulm; Robert (Pauleen) Wiedl of St. Paul; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; a brother, Robert Reimann; and by many nieces and nephews.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of sixty-five years, Charles Wiedl; brothers, Christopher, Frank, Henry, Harold and Otto Reimann; sisters, Emma Mehlhop and Irene Groebner; and her son-in-law, Al Malecha.

Veronica Elizabeth Reimann was born February 13, 1919 in Norwood to Otto and Emma (Knott) Reimann. She was united in marriage to Charles Wiedl on July 24, 1945 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Paul. They resided in St. Paul and raised three children. Veronica was employed at by Waldorf Paper/International Paper Company in St. Paul for over 25 years. They retired to Pequot Lakes in 1981 and later moved back to New Ulm. She loved travel, embroidery work, cooking and playing bingo. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Oak Hills Living Center Auxiliary.
