ARLINGTON - Herbert Wills, 88, of Gaylord died on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at the Golden Hearts Assisted Living in Arlington.
Services will be Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, 11 a.m. at Norwegian Grove Lutheran Church, Sibley Township, Sibley County, with burial in the church cemetery. Full Military Honors by the Manthey-Asmus American Legion Post 433 in Gaylord.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord.
Herbert Henry Wills was born on April 23, 1924, in New Ulm, to Harry and Olga (Severin) Wills.
Herb entered active military service on Jan. 22, 1945, and served in the United States Army during World War II. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal. Herb was honorably discharged on Nov. 22, 1946.
Herb is survived by his wife, Bernadette Wills of Gaylord; children, Gary Wills of Gaylord, Glenn Wills of Sauk Centre, Wayne Wills of Lafayette, Eileen Wills of Redwood Falls, Randy Wills of Mankato, Connie Teply of Glencoe, Ronald Wills of Lutsen, Lori Lundeen of Cokato, and Nancy Grabow of Gaylord; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
