GAYLORD - Gary Keske, 68, of Gaylord, formerly of the St. George and Gibbon area, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, with burial in St. Matthew's Cemetery in Fernando.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Monday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Monday. Gary is survived by his wife, Arlene Keske of Gaylord; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Betty Keske, Steven and Barb Keske all of Brownton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey Borchert of Gaylord, Madrienne and Donald Weber of Glencoe, Janice and Jim Rose of Arlington; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dianah in infancy.
Gary Gene Keske was born on Sept. 23, 1944 in West Newton Township, Nicollet County to William and Edna (Bleick) Keske. He served in the U. S. Air Force from April 30, 1963, did a tour in Vietnam, and was Honorably Discharged on Nov. 18, 1966. After the service he dairy farmed in West Newton Township, Nicollet County, for most of his life. On Aug. 28, 2004, he was united in marriage to Arlene Schwartz at St. Matthew's Church in Fernando. Gary also had worked at Schweiss Bi-Fold Door in Fairfax. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed river fishing. Gary was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, the VFW and the Gaylord American Legion.
