Val Besser (left) and Sally De St. Croix dressed in Victorian-style clothing and visited businesses on Minnesota Street in downtown New Ulm Thursday to promote the upcoming Christkindlmarkt. The event will be on Friday, Nov. 23, from noon to 8 p.m. with an opening ceremony at 1 N. Minnesota St. at noon. Activities include a reindeer adventure, artisan market, carriage rides, St. Paul's living nativity, puppet wagon and Kinderwelt Elf School.
