Referendum yard signs

November 4, 2012
The Journal

To the editor:

Thanks to all that showed their support for the ISD 88 referendum by placing a sign in their yard - and there are lots of you, which is great to see!

You may be wondering what to do with your sign after the election? Good question! We would like to get them back. They can be returned to the Chamber or the DAC. Or, if you simply leave them out in your yard, volunteers will be collecting them after Nov. 6.

Now you may be wondering why? Another good question! We don't want the signs and stakes going into the landfill, so we will be looking into ways to reuse/recycle them. And FYI - all metal stakes from campaign signs can be recycled by dropping them off at New Ulm Steel and Recycling (they cannot go in your curbside recycling containers).

And please remember to do what all of those yellow yard signs say - vote YES for the school referendum. Do it for our KIDS and for our COMMUNITY, and thanks!
