RIDGELY TOWNSHIP, NICOLLET COUNTY - Nobody was injured in a house fire reported at 4:34 p.m. Thursday in Ridgely Township, on the west side of State Highway 4, just north of the Minnesota River.
The house is the residence of Raquel Heiderscheidt.
The blaze forced the closure for Highway 4 for a couple hours until the fire was knocked down, according to Fairfax Fire Chief James Schroeder.

Fairfax firefighters were called to a fire at the Raquel Heiderscheidt residence at 4:34 p.m. Thursday, in Ridgely Township, on the west side of State Highway 4, just north of the Minnesota River. Nobody was injured in the fire, according to a Nicollet County Sheriff's Office press release. Fire damage was extensive. Franklin and Sleepy Eye firefighters hauled water to help fight the fire. Assisting were Fairfax Police, Fairfax Fire and Rescue, the Renville and Brown County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol. The Minnesota State Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the fire.
"Flames were coming out the front door and windows when we got there," Schroeder said. "We hauled water and got water from Franklin and Sleepy Eye Fire Departments. It went pretty good."
Fire damage to the house was extensive. The Minnesota State Fire Marshall's Office is investigating. Fairfax firefighters were back in service at their fire station by 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Other assisting agencies included the Renville, Brown and Nicollet County Sheriff's Offices, Fairfax Police, Fairfax Fire and Rescue, the Minnesota State Patrol.
