To the editor:
This letter is in suport of the upcoming District 88 school referendum.
Our forefathers understood their responsibility and committed to funding our education. Now it's our duty to pay forward an investment in current and future students.
We all pay various local, state and federal taxes that may be used in ways we don't agree with, but we pay them nevertheless.
In the case of this referendum, we are being asked to provide revenue that will be put to good local use for the youth of Brown, Nicollet and Blue Earth counties. What better investment is there for our communities?
As farmers, we recognize that this levy will be assessed on our dwelling, garage and first acre only.
On Nov. 6, please, please continue to provide the additional support of education and vote Yes on the District 88 school referendum.
We can't afford not to.
Frederick and Phyllis Juni
