FAIRFAX - Allan Timm, age 59, of Fairfax, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at his home in Fairfax.

Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, 2 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Fairfax, with interment in Ft. Ridgely Cemetery, Ft. Ridgely Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, from Noon until 2 P.M. at the church.

Allan Donald Timm was born on April 4, 1953, in Sleepy Eye. He was the son of Donald and Lucille (Runge) Timm. Allan was baptized as an infant and was confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairfax. He received his education in Fairfax and was a 1971 graduate of the Fairfax High School. Allan furthered his education at Willmar Vocational Technical College for Auto Body. He was raised in Fairfax and lived in New London while attending college. After college, Allan moved to New Ulm and worked in the auto body business and then moved back to Fairfax.

Allan drove truck working for himself and helping any of his friends who needed help. Al hosted the original Hoboken Celebration at his home by the ball park. Allan earned the nick name of "Tranny" for repairing transmissions, he was a master of many trades. He also helped all of his friends when their trucks needed body repair.

Allan loved his Harley motorcycles, cars, boats, and anything with an engine. He enjoyed swimming, waterskiing on one ski, playing cards, and vegetable gardening. Allan loved to entertain at his picnic table and was always ready for guests. He was a very talented guy. Allan loved spending time with his family and friends.

Allan passed away on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at his home in Fairfax at the age of 59 years. Blessed be his memory.

Allan is survived by his: mother, Lucille "Lucy" Timm of Fairfax; siblings, Kris Guggisberg and her husband, Jeff of Gibbon, and Kathy Hengel and her husband, Tony of Bloomington; his companion, Lisa Avalos of California; nieces and nephews, David Hengel; Daniel Hengel and his wife, Janel and their children, Jonathon and Samantha; Justin Grams and his special friend, Penny, and their child, Soren; Kirissa Grams; and Mitch Grams; other relatives and friends.

Allan was preceded in death by his father, Donald Timm.
