COURTLAND-Arline Wills, 82, formerly of Courtland died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Oak Terrace Assisted Living in North Mankato. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Courtland with Pastor Wayne Bernau officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Sunday and from 7:30 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home (North Chapel) in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Monday. Arline is survived by her husband, Harley Wills of North Mankato; daughter and sons-in-law, Deb and Byron Schmidt of Courtland, Gene Olswold of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lois Wills of Grantsburg, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Velora Studtmann of New Ulm; brother and sister-in-law, Merlin and Dorothy Stolt of Gaylord. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Kuester Olswold; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; 3 sisters-in-law; and 7 brothers-in-law.
Arline Johanna Stolt was born on May 20, 1930 in Nicollet County to William and Johanna (Hulke) Stolt. On February 11, 1950 she was united in marriage to Harley Wills at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Courtland. Arline had worked various jobs in manufacturing and cooking. She was very proud that at age 60 she attained her GED. Arline enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
