WINDOM - A 23-year-old Mountain Lake woman died after a single-vehicle accident on State Highway 60 reported at 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol, Marshall.
Hollie M. Mattison was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer that was westbound on Highway 60 when it drifted across the eastbound lane, into the ditch. She over-corrected to the right, then left, rolled and was ejected before the vehicle came to a rest on the passenger side, according to the State Patrol.
Mattison was not wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was detected in her system, according to the State Patrol. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle was demolished. She was transported to Windom Area Hospital.
The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office assisted.
