LUVERNE - The River Valley tennis team saw its season end as the Wildcats fell to Luverne in Section 3A action.
The lone win for River Valley came at No. 3 doubles as Alex Chaney and Katelyn Johnson won their match 6-4, 6-4. Paige Adams and Kynzie Smedsrud lost at No. 1 doubles 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 and Danielle Kneip and Brianna Erickson were defeated 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Kallie Smith was defeated at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-3. At No. 2 singles, Becky Roiger lost 6-2, 6-3. Lauren Laffen lost at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-4 and Natalie Stevens fell 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
River Valley finishes the season with a 9-11 record and will participate in the Section 3A Individual Tournament in Redwood Falls Thursday.
