NEW?ULM - Saturday's boys' soccer game between New Ulm and Willmar was evenly contested throughout, but Joseph Leuze slotted through a goal for the Cardinals with 9:55 remaining in the match and his team held on for a 1-0 win.

The two teams matched each other almost shot for shot, with New Ulm managing eight shots to Willmar's nine. Alexander King had eight saves in net for the Eagles.

New Ulm (3-9) will host Glencoe-Silver Lake at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will celebrate both Parent's Night and Senior Night at the game.
