Day of Caring has been a United Way tradition in Brown County for 15 years. Each year on a Saturday in October volunteers help their neighbors and residents of Brown County do chores that enable them to stay in their homes.
The 2012 Day of Caring is Saturday, Oct, 13, and volunteers are needed. Tasks such as raking, window washing and general yard work will be done for senior citizens and others who are need assistance. Prospective participants can call the United Way office at 507-354-6512 to volunteer.
