HUTCHINSON - Monica Illikman led a potent New Ulm offense with a pair of goals in the Eagles' girls' soccer victory on Monday against Hutchinson.
Illikman opened the scoring in the 16th minute, with Kylie Walterman picking up an assist on the goal. Nicole Moldstad made the score 2-0 on a goal assisted by Peyton Lewis in the 30th minute.
Martha Balge (43rd minute), Bridget Brown (52nd minute) and Illikman (64th minute) added unassisted goals in the second half.
The Eagles out-shot the Tigers 21-5 in the contest, with Shelby Smith earning five saves in net for New Ulm.
The Eagles (10-2-1) will play at St. Peter today and will travel to Fairmont for a game on Thursday.
