A New Ulm woman involved in an ATV accident on Saturday at Morgan Creek Vineyards was in serious condition on Monday afternoon at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) in Minneapolis .

Barbara M. Marti, 48, of New Ulm was injured in the accident.

The accident was reported at 6:07 p.m. Saturday at the vineyards, 23707 478th Ave., rural Cambria.

Blue Earth County deputies were advised that a woman had been run over by a John Deere Gator ATV after she fell off or was thrown off the vehicle, and she was lying in a ditch at the vineyard.

Deputies arrived at the vineyard where the Courtland Fire Department had put Marti, 48, on a back board. She was conscious and alert. She was transported by Lake Crystal Ambulance to the New Ulm Medical Center and later transfered to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) in Minneapolis where she was listed in serious condition Monday afternoon.

The driver of the ATV, Sean P. Hearn, 41, of Mankato, was given a breath test at the scene. He was determined to be over the legal alcohol limit to operate a vehicle. Charges including DUI may be pending against Hearn. The accident remains under investigation.
