NEW ULM - Marie Grams, 88, of New Ulm died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Matthew Wiering celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. The Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cathedral. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. To leave an online condolence for her family or to sign the guestbook go to:

Marie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and David Kruse of Columbia Heights, Janet and Larry Roalson of Madelia, Joyce Grams of Hutchinson, James Maurer of Pacific, Wash.; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Patricia Grams of Wind Lake, Wis., John and Jeanne Grams of Coon Rapids; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Bowe of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 69 years, Carl Grams, on July 5, 2012; a daughter, Audrey Maurer; six sisters; and two brothers.

Marie Ann Cuddy was born on Oct. 15, 1923 in Mankato to Henry and Daisey (Severce) Cuddy. On April 29, 1943 she was united in marriage to Carl Grams at St. John's Catholic Church in Mankato. She worked as a Nurse's Aid at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato. After marriage she was a homemaker. She and her husband farmed in Blue Earth County and they moved to rural Hanska in 1965. After they retired they moved to New Ulm in 1994. She was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the Christian Mothers Society. Memorials are preferred to Cathedral or N.U.A.C.S.
